The Most Foolish
And just four years after its IPO, as a tiny public company, Wal-Mart began paying a dividend. This business was run to sustain yearly profit growth indefinitely. If you're going to invest in small-cap rocket stocks, as our team does at Motley Fool Hidden Gems, please avoid the whisper-stock party tips and hype jobs. They destroy wealth over time. Wal-Mart wasn't getting hyped. No one was following it! Contrary to popular perception, you need not assume great risk to invest in the best small caps. You only need to train yourself to look for disciplined, conservatively run small businesses. Finding these stocks doesn't involve a hopeless search through barn-sized haystacks for a lone platinum needle. The stock market features plenty of promising smaller companies, run successfully by founders with large personal stakes in the enterprise.

Olympics boost for Brands
The Kent race circuit will be named in a guide to be distributed to teams during the Beijing games this summer, giving athletes the option to train in the south east ahead of the 2012 competition. It follows detailed assessments by the county council and efforts by the authority to make sure each site meets the strict international standard criteria. Brands Hatch chief executive Jonathan Palmer is looking forward to hearing which nation or nations the circuit will host: He said: "This is a big deal for Brands Hatch. Our facilities are world-class and we are used to looking after teams from all over the globe. "We would be proud to be a part of this historic event for the country and we hope to experience the flavour of the Olympics in the weeks leading up to the London Games.

I also used the song "Oh Holy Night" on my answering machine as background music. It is my God given right afterall to express my opinion and I do not have to eliminate the use of God or religion for fear of offending someone. If they are offended, perhaps they should seek the help of the ACLU or talk to some of the idiots from Planet Hollyweird. Deborah McKown Florissant, CO .

Limbaugh reacted to the incident, saying, "Now, may I ask a simple question? Is that his name? It is. So why can't it be used?" On the February 26 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, host Rush Limbaugh defended comments made by Cincinnati radio talk-show host Bill Cunningham at a rally for Sen. First Alterman, Then Obama!:
As a state patrolman pushes the governor's Ford hybrid sport utility vehicle toward 90 mph, coaxing it to an unnatural whine, Richardson punches buttons on one of his three cellphones. He calls an aide and discusses potential fundraising events in April and May with Bill Clinton and Al Gore. Then he dials U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., leaving a message on the Senate minority leader's cellphone about an immigration-reform bill being debated that day: "I don't like this Hagel-Martinez initiative. It's sort of half a loaf. Let's hold fast." [E.A.] If you want the whole loaf, it looks like Richardson is your guy. ... 7:07 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2007 Econopundit posits the intriguing exception to the "Fifty-Fifty Forever" Theory: Modern elections are largely governed by the principle of minimum differentiation which (according to the mean voter theorem) will generally produce a 50-50 split in most polls and elections.
Two-second machine delay has no effect on video play
I've received some good reader questions this month, starting with one about an aspect of slot-machine play that's often misinterpreted as a "signal." While playing video poker, every now and then the machine will "stall" before dealing the next hand. Any idea what is really going on? Bruce C. It's something that occurs not only with video poker but spinning-reel and video slots, as well. According to the engineers at International Game Technology (IGT), the periodic two-second delay occurs when the machine's internal electronic meters are being updated. The meters have no connection with the machine's random number generator and therefore have no bearing on the course of play. Four Winds in New Buffalo, Mich., features computer-generated random winners.
Apple Wants To Make DRM Extortion Explicit
This is stupid no matter how you slice it. (reply to this comment) (link to this comment) Re: Playing Devil's Advocate by Alan on Dec 5th, 2007 @ 7:18am I think this is the pertinent point - Apple must provide a legal way for customers to load content onto its devices. One way is by buying the movie via ITMS. The ITMS selection is tiny though, so they are looking for other sales channels. The problem here is the law that makes it illegal to transfer DVDs to other media, not the fact that Apple is trying to sell movies for its devices. (reply to this comment) (link to this comment) Here Here... by Rip Away on Dec 5th, 2007 @ 7:20am I agree with #3, isn't jaywalking illegal also, MacTheRipper is the most comprehensive ripping utility on the planet for non-HD, isn't it ironic it's on the Mac platform.
